What’s the difference between Self-managed, Plan-managed, and NDIA-managed funding?
When you’re on the NDIS, you can choose how your funds are managed. Here’s a breakdown:
– Self-managed:
You take full control – choose any provider (registered or not), pay invoices, and manage records.
– Plan-managed:
A Plan Manager handles invoices and payments for you. You can still choose non-registered providers.
– NDIA-managed:
NDIA pays providers directly. You must use only NDIS-registered providers.
– You can also choose a combination – for example, Plan-managed for most and Self-managed for one part.
